Monday 12th June, 2023: The Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science, (ALECSO), has honored Munib R Masri for his work through the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation (MAF) in education, culture and science in the Arab world. The ceremony took place at the organisation’s headquarters in Tunisia attended by ambassadors of Arab countries and a gathering of prominent Tunisian figures.
The event began with a speech delivered by Dr. Mohammed Sana Abu Droush, Director of the Science and Scientific Research Department, welcoming Mr Masri and highlighting his notable achievements at the Palestinian, Arab and global levels. Then, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ould Amr, the Director-General of ALECSO, spoke praising the efforts of the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation and expressing his gratitude and appreciation of Mr Masri’s continuing humanitarian work for the Arab nation and the Palestinian cause. Dr. Mohammed Ould Amr underlined the organization's readiness to collaborate with the Masri Foundation, in achieving common goals in the fields of science, education, and culture.
Mr Masri expressed his thanks to the Republic of Tunisia, its president, leadership, and people and emphasised the Palestinian people's pride in its strong bond with the Tunisian people. He also expressed his deep appreciation and sincere gratitude to ALECSO for the warm reception and the tremendous efforts they exert in the fields of education, culture and science. He highlighted his commitment to supporting this mission.
The Munib & Angela Masri Foundation is an independent, non-profit institution established in 1970 and works in various fields of development, including education, health, scientific research, culture, and economic empowerment. The Masri Foundation also works in partnership with various institutions across Jordan, Palestine and Lebanon.
